A Northward East Wales Institute of Higher Education (NEWI) occurs as higher education institution based within Wrexham. These are a portion of the federal University of Wales.
History NEWI was formed inside 1975 by the merger of Denbighshire Technical College, Cartrefle Teacher Training College and Kelsterton College. At the start, its degrees were validated per University of Salford. Around 1993, NEWI became an associate member of the University of Wales and began getting its degrees validated by the babies. Within 2004, NEWI became a fully member of the University.
